How to Access Your Data from RATIONAL under the EU Data Act
What is the EU Data Act?
The EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854) is a European regulation that came into effect on September 12, 2025. Its purpose is to ensure fair access to and use of data generated by connected products and related digital services. It grants users – both businesses and consumers – the right to access, use, and share the data they generate through their use of such products.
What data is available to you?
RATIONAL provides access to two main categories of data:
1. HACCP Data
Through the HACCP API, you can access operational data relevant to food safety, including:
- Temperature profiles
- Cooking times
- Device status
This data is:
- Machine-readable
- Time-stamped and traceable
- Immediately usable
2. Customer Interaction Data (MMI)
Based on a structured Excel definition table, you receive data on:
- Input values such as core temperature, cooking time, humidity level, fan speed
- End options like Hold, Brown and Crisp, Reinsert Probe, Finishing
- Manual inputs from iCookingSuite and iProductionManager
All data points are clearly labeled and include both technical and user-friendly descriptions.
How is the data provided?
Currently, data is provided manually upon request. An automated solution via ConnectedCooking is under development. You will be notified as soon as it becomes available.
How can you request your data?
To request access to your data under the EU Data Act, please contact:

Please include the following information in your request:
- The serial number of your device
- The support ID of your ConnectedCooking account where the device is registered
Once your request is received, the data will be generated and delivered directly to you.
