Rational offers a fully managed LoRaWAN network infrastructure. Our team handles the continuous monitoring, maintenance, and regular updates of the system and hardware to ensure smooth operation. There is no administrative effort required on your part: Once your sensors are registered, the system is ready to use. If, for example, your location already has its own LoRaWAN infrastructure, you can continue to use it. Rational offers the option to forward sensor data directly to our platform via webhooks. We currently support direct integration with the following established providers:
- TheThingsNetwork
- Loriot
- Chirpstack in API Version v3 and v4 - (Open Source Software)
A fourth option (Custom CC) allows you to connect to custom networks that do not have a public API schema.
Note on Third-Party Networks
We strongly recommend using third-party networks only if the necessary infrastructure is already in place on-site. Please note the following conditions:
- Hardware: Dedicated gateways are required.
- Responsibility: The operation, stability, and maintenance of the external network are entirely your responsibility.
- Support Limitation: Since Rational has no access to third-party hardware or software, we cannot provide technical support for these networks.
- Interface: Rational provides only the technical interface (webhooks). Configuration is performed via ConnectedCooking in accordance with the settings of your respective third-party provider.
